You entered my life like a zephyr
Resuscitating presence, rain in summer
Every time I looked at you
My thoughts scattered and heart pounded
Indecisive mind now decided-
to make you mine is all I wanted
It was meant to be- you and me
Lost in each other’s eyes, forever in love
Partners by day and lovers at night
Happy as doves fluttering in flight.
Then something in us changed,
And the love began to wane
Insecurities, doubts, and fights slithered
Twinkling eyes began to wither
Attempts to amend was a hopeless endeavour,
It is only a matter of time till the bond severs.
My tenacious heart begins to wail,
Reliving those moments
Remembering every detail,
Betrayed by my senses, I stand alone
Forgetting a zephyr cannot be a stone.
